Mission
Sunny Day Pediatric Dentistry was founded on the principles of clinical excellence and compassionate care. We believe in providing this care in a warm, welcoming, kid-friendly space that will keep kids (and parents!) feeling relaxed about going to the dentist.
Our Office
As a mother of two young children, I know how important it is to find a practice that has the time to spend answering my questions and making my children feel comfortable. At Sunny Day Pediatric Dentistry you will find a team committed to providing you and your family the quality time you deserve in a kid-friendly environment that makes going to the dentist a fun experience.
Meet Dr. Day
Dr. Emily C. Day is a native of Kansas City. She graduated from the University of
Kansas and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She practiced general family dentistry in Salina, Kansas for five years before returning to Kansas City to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Mercy Hospital. During the last four years at Children’s Mercy, Dr. Day has expanded her skills as a pediatric dental specialist, providing dental care to children with serious medical problems.
With this specialized training and desire to provide this high level of care in a private practice setting, Sunny Day Pediatric Dentistry was created to serve the needs of children, including those with special needs, in southern Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Leawood, Lenexa and surrounding Kansas and Missouri cities.

Helpful Hints
Children should see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears or no later than his/her first birthday.
Parents are always welcome to come back with children for treatment- in fact, we encourage it! We believe this helps us treat children most effectively and provides open communication.
Safety and quality of care are of the utmost importance to us and we want to partner with parents to promote a positive dental attitude for children.
We accept children to the practice directly and by referral. Referring offices will receive post treatment letters detailing treatment provided.
We are accepting patients and look forward to showing you and your family our super fun office! For more information or to schedule a consult call 913.239.0703 or visit www.sunnydaykidsmiles.com
