By Gail Keller - Macaroni Kid JoCo May 30, 2018

Free donuts on Friday, June 1, 2018:

Back in 1938, The Salvation Army declared the first Friday of every June as National Donut Day. The origin of the day dates back to when the Salvation Army workers surprised soldiers of World War I with free donuts.  The annual celebration is all about freebies from donut stores, cafes and grocery stores around the country.
