Theatre of the Imagination offers the most fun and flexible summer camps you’ll ever see!  Right in the heart of Johnson County, just south of Town Center Plaza and the Sprint Campus, our camps are unique in that the plays have no leads, everyone gets an equal sized part. Costumes and shows are always free. And our low prices make this the most affordable summer camps in town. Get $25 off when you mention Macaroni Kid (new customers only).

The camps take place at 6100 W. 127th St., between Metcalf and Nall.  Five, two week camps back to back from June 5-Aug. 11, (also a one week camp May 30-June 2).  In any of the two week camps students can come partial, (i.e. just the first or second week), and they will pro-rate you.

The two week camp time frame means families can fit a camp in easily with the rest of their summer schedule.   Since they take partials students can come for just one week or even just a few days and still perform in a show while parents only pay for what they use.   (Note: their pro-rations are proactive and not retroactive, they can only pro-rate if they know the student’s schedule ahead of time.)

Classes are offered 10 am-4:3 0pm.   Optional before and after care from 7:30 am-6 pm.   Students can also enroll for more than one camp, as every camp does different shows.  Enroll multiple kids at get 10% off each child.
This summer’s show titles include “Space Warriors: Attack of the Rogue Pizzas”, “It’s all about me: The Musical!”,   “Poodles & Greasers”,  “Ninja Pigs on Surfboards Eating Ice Cream” and more.

Classes include Acting, Singing & Dancing & Movie Making.  Kids play drama games & get a fun part in play designed to their personalities and reading levels.  Session culminate in a performance for friends and family that are free, no tickets needed.  Costumes are provided at no charge.

Camp director Miles McMahon writes all of the shows from scratch.  He has written over 200 plays, always geared toward giving each student a great part they can enjoy.   The design of the performances is to never have auditions and the plays have no leads, all the parts are equal sized.  Many students come time and again, some have done over 100 different shows.

The goal is to improve self esteem and boost self confidence through the arts. With Theatre of the Imagination everyone is a star! Call 816-561-2787 or visit www.dramakc.com
