Spanish Classes Coming to a School Near You

By Sponsored Advertising Content August 30, 2017

The Language Project Kids specializes in immersion-style language education for children aged 2 -14 years old. We teach children Spanish the natural way through our multi-level, play-based, total-immersion curriculum. Our classrooms include one hour of dynamic and high-energy stories, games, music, dancing, and movement activities to teach practical and conversational Spanish. All classes run the full school year on a 30-week basis for optimal language retention.

Why Learn Early?

Childhood is prime to learn a second language. Birth to age 7 is the window of opportunity that children naturally have to acquire a second, third or even fourth language. During this time, children are able to pick up on language naturally without the explicit explanation of grammar rules that adults struggle with since the prefrontal cortex is still developing and easily able to absorb new experiences and information. In addition, ear and speech muscles are more easily able to distinguish different sounds in languages, which can then be produced with native-like accuracy and pronunciation.

The Benefits of Bilingualism

Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world, even before English! By being bilingual in both languages, a child’s brain has enhanced math and problem skills, greater decision making skills, a better working memory, better performance on standardized tests, and a new found sense of cultural awareness!
