Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day is Sunday, September 10th.  Here are some special activities and events to help you celebrate!

Indoor Fun (Saturday)

* Make a Clay Pot Critter at your local Michaels Store $2

* How to Catch A Monster Storytime and Activity at Barnes & Noble Town Center & Oak Park. FREE 

* Kids Craft at Lakeshore Learning in Merriam. FREE.

Outdoor Fun (Saturday)

* The entire family will enjoy the Lenexa Spinach Festival at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park. 

* Sign up to take the family geocaching at the Overland Park Arboretum

* Watch the 10 am parade and have fun with other activities in downtown Olathe at Johnson County Old Settlers Days

* Check out all the cars and bikes at the Turkey Creek Car & Motorcycle Show in Merriam

* Bring the Grandparents to the Prairie Village Jazz Festival.

* Bring the blankets and enjoy one of the outdoor movies: Edgerton, Gardner, or Spring Hill

Outdoor Fun (Sunday)

* Take a ride to Lawrence for the Fall Arts & Craft Festival

* Enjoy tasty food, art and music at the Jewish Culture Fest in Overland Park

* Get some ice cream and enjoy other free activities at the Grand Party at Lenexa Civic Center

* It's Grandparents Day at Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm in Olathe. One grandparent admitted free for every paid child admission

* The entire family will enjoy live music by Dino O'Dell followed by Bradon Draper's Drum Safari at the Overland Park

Arboretum & Botanical Gardens
