Moon Shine - A Soiree on the Farm - Just for Grown-Ups - Overland Park

By Friends of the Farmstead August 13, 2018

One night a year Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead hosts a party for grown-ups-- Saturday, September 8th from 7-11 p.m. is that night! Put on your jeans and boots, leave the kids at home and join us for a country party under the stars!

For one all-inclusive ticket, guests enjoy BBQ, beer, wine, signature cocktails and live country music featuring the fastest growing band in the Midwest—Big Time Grain Co.

When you enter the gates of the big red barn and grab a signature mason-jar mug you’re transported. All lit up at night the Farmstead provides a fantastic backdrop for a country party. Learn a line dance or the two-step on the main lawn dance floor. Play large Jenga in the corrals. Take a horse-drawn wagon ride. Sit by the fire pit and watch the stars or dance the night away! And there’s nothing like a walk on main street for an ole-fashioned ice cream cone to cool you down.

Moon Shine On The Farm is one of the many ways Friends of The Farmstead supports Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. Proceeds from Moon Shine will help build an interactive Draft Horse & Discovery Barn. Part of the Arts and Recreation Foundation of Overland Park, Friends of the Farmstead is a community of passionate people on a mission to enhance and enrich the Farmstead for generations to come.

2018 marks the 5th year of Moon Shine On The Farm. It is one of those events that once you have experienced, you will mark your calendar for next year! Tickets can be purchased on-line at MoonShineOnTheFarm.com or the Farmstead. Tickets are all- inclusive and priced at $60. Buy your tickets early, they will be $15 more at the door.
