Betty Rae's
River Market and Waldo
What we love: Betty Rae's is a KC classic. Have you tried the Joe's KC flavor? We haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it's on our summer bucket list! Betty Rae's has a number of gluten-free and non-dairy options for those with dietary considerations.
Cookies and Creamery
South KC
What we love: This is a new favorite! Located near Wonderscope and the Red Bridge branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library, it's a must visit shop! We've tried the cotton candy and birthday cake flavors and they were š. Cookies and Creamery also has Signature Creamwiches made with local ice cream and fresh baked cookies, along with specialty popcorn, organic cotton candy, and flavored milks!
Sheridan's Frozen Custard
Crown Center, Legends Outlets, Overland Park, Shawnee, Liberty, North KC
What we love: Sheridan's is an OG favorite from my childhood. It's now our go-to when we need to cool down after get our shop on at Crown Center or Legends Outlets. My favorite is the Buck-A-Roo sundae, and my daughter loves the Dirt and Worms concrete (which, of course, was my favorite when I was a kid!).
Ice Cream BAE
What we love: The ice cream is delicious, and the toppings make it extra fun! When visiting Ice Cream BAE, we try something new every time, because the combos to choose from are endless! The new Park Place location in Leawood is open now!
Creative Culture
What we love: Creative Culture's over the top milkshakes are even tastier than they look. What makes this spot extra sweet is that you can create while you eat. From paint your own pottery to the extensive plant station, you can get as creative as their menu of gourmet milkshakes!
