Visit FUNVILLE where kids’ main job is to have FUN!

Children can explore future careers in Crown Center’s free exhibit

February 16, 2023

Crown Center’s latest interactive exhibit offers a FREE indoor activity for children and families this winter and spring. FUNVILLE: What Do You Want to Be? creates a chance for children to experience a range of 20 grown-up occupations designed to get them thinking about their own future careers.

Using their imaginations and the power of play, young children can explore FUNVILLE and role play different activities such as:

  • Treating a patient in the operating room
  • Forecasting the weather
  • Quarterbacking a football team
  • Repairing a car engine
  • Styling hair
  • Blasting off into outer space
  • Caring for animals in a veterinary clinic
  • Performing in the circus
  • Running a jackhammer on a construction site
  • Sitting behind the desk of the Oval Office

FUNVILLE provides a safe indoor play environment with sturdy displays designed and crafted by Crown Center. Cameras are welcome since there are plenty of great photo opportunities as children try out different roles.

This exhibit will be most entertaining for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary school children. Most visitors spend 30 minutes to 1 hour in the exhibit, but visitors are welcome to stay as long as they’d like.

Whatever careers kids choose to try, the most important job in FUNVILLE is to have fun!
