Announcing a free weekly kids club brought to you by MacaroniKID! Bring your kids to Barkley Square at Park Place in Leawood every Tuesday morning from 9-11am this summer for Pinwheel Club – a club designed for playfulness, joy, and the celebration of childhood. They’ll get in on nine weeks of fun activities to include crafts, entertainment, and games – all free! You get to sit back and enjoy, or join them in all the fun!

June
- 4: Pinwheel Club Kickoff Party! Inspired Play Café pop-up play, pinwheel craft with Macaroni KID, photo opps, and DJ Miles – a kid himself, this DJ will be spinning tunes tailored just for kids! Popping Party and Events will provide a super fun photo opp!
- 11: Soccer, Music Fun, & Crafts! Bach to Rock will bring an instrument petting zoo and music fun, Happy Feet with open soccer play, craft and sensory play with Macaroni KID
- 18: Let’s Read! Storytime with author Katie Marie, Inspired Play Café Pop-Up Play, Bookmark Craft with Macaroni KID, and Kids Book Exchange (bring books you’re ready to part with, and exchange for new ones!)
- 25: Kids Yoga and Crafts! Kids Yoga starts at 9:30am with Full Circle Yoga, craft with Macaroni KID, and yard games. Feel free to bring a yoga mat, some will be provided.
July
- 2: Plushie Picnic! Pack your favorite stuffed animal along with a blanket and morning snack! Enjoy a “fun with food” station with Making Mealtime Fun, plushie yoga with Brain to Belly Kids Yoga, cute picnic setups and pretend play picnic baskets, and a “me and my plushie” photo opp!
- 9: Soccer, Music Fun, & Crafts! Happy Feet open soccer play, Bach to Rock music fun, craft and sensory play with Macaroni KID
- 16: Let’s Read Another! Storytime with author Katie Marie, Inspired Play Café Pop-Up Play, Bookmark Craft with Macaroni KID, and Kids Book Exchange (bring books you’re ready to part with, and exchange for new ones!)
- 23: Sensory Play & Games Macaroni KID sensory play activity and craft and yard games. Little Audience Music will have a fun music playtime!
- 30: Inspired Play and Soccer! Inspired Play Café pop-up play, Happy Feet Soccer open play
Notes/Disclaimers:
- Restrooms are available on-site, with changing tables in both the men's and women's.
- Outta the Blue Cafe is steps away from Barkley Square and offers coffee, tea, grab-and-go breakfast, and more.
- In the event of inclement weather, the Pinwheel Club will be canceled for that week’s activities. Follow @parkplaceleawood and @kcmacaronikid on social for weather-related announcements.
- Any hitting, physical, or verbal violence of any kind will not be tolerated. If any such event occurs, the person(s) involved will be asked to leave the property for the duration of the event.
- A parent or guardian must accompany participating children ages 0-12 at all times.
