Kaleidoscope! Free creative fun at Crown Center! Reservations no longer required for families, just walk up!

Bowling! No explanation needed, it’s always a good time!

Overland Park Scheels! It has a Ferris wheel with $1 rides, a free indoor play structure, and more! Can spend a few hours for sure!

The Rabbit Hole! KC’s newest museum and quite possibly the best we’ve ever been to. If you haven’t had a chance to visit it’s a winter-time must!

Explore a new library! KC is home to TONS of amazing and unique libraries, all of which have awesome programming. This is a no-fail option for any day.

Ice Skating can be a great activity for fresh air on a crisp inter day. Check out our
ice skating guide for a list of all KC area rinks with details!

Wonderscope! If you want a place you can spend an entire afternoon on a cold winter day, this is it! This interactive children’s museum is a blast for kids of all ages.

Snow Creek! Just North of KC but worth the drive for a slip sliding good time on their tubing hill. Perfect for active families looking to make lifelong memories!

Inspired Play Cafe! An upscale play cafe with two locations. The OG location is in Leawood and a brand new location just opened in Merriam not far from IKEA! (Also a great location for winter birthday,
baby showers, and other smaller celebrations!)
