Celebrating 23 years of Camp Shakespeare

Camp Shakespeare is a fun and unique summer arts experience your kids will never forget! Students will improve their understanding of literature and Elizabethan history while creating their own version of a Shakespeare play. Acting, visual art, dance, stage combat and storytelling make this a delightful camp, taught by professional actors and theatre artists in a neighborhood near you!

Will’s Players: 1 WEEK 

Ages 5- 8:  $150 per student, per session

• Exploration of the life and times of William Shakespeare

• Crafts, acting games, and improvisation

• Campers will share their work with family and friends during the final class

Camp Shakespeare: 2 WEEKS

Ages 8-14: $325 per student

• Builds confidence, encourages teamwork and unleashes creativity

• Improves reading skills and concentration

• Teaches young people the power and beauty of language

• Rehearse scenes and sword fights

• Public performances of a Shakespeare classic

Shakespeare Unlimited: 2 WEEKS

For Returning Campers:  $325 per student

*Shakespeare Unlimited is for returning campers

Students who are new to Shakespeare will need to speak to the Festival’s Director of Education prior to registration

• More complex look at scene study, character development, and theatre crafts

Shakespeare Alive!: 3 WEEKS 

Ages 10 – 18: $440 per student

• Offers students a unique perspective on Shakespeare through the use of contemporary music styles, pop culture, spoken word poetry, and writing

Shakespeare Exploration: 3 WEEKS

Ages 14-18: $440 per student

• Conservatory-styled, advanced workshop

• In-depth acting work highlighting vocal, physical and acting techniques used in performing Shakespeare
