Description
More than 1,500 United States flags will greet you in downtown Merriam for the weeklong Flags 4 Freedom event June 30-July 7. Stop by Merriam Marketplace, the Irene B. French Community Center, and along Merriam and Johnson drives to view an astonishing patriotic display. Don’t miss a free concert on Tuesday, July 4, at 1 p.m. at Merriam Marketplace – just bring a lawn chair. Sponsor a flag to honor active military personnel, veterans, friends, and loved ones by purchasing a dedication ribbon for $15. All proceeds will benefit the Merriam Parks, Recreation, and Community Center Foundation. Learn more at flags4freedom.org.
