Leawood Parks and Recreation and the Leawood Police Department are excited to announce Stride N’ Ride, a new event Encouraging and Educating the community about fitness and healthy transportation. Make fitness a family affair by learning how to incorporate walking and biking into your family lifestyle to form positive attitudes about getting active and staying healthy! Stride ‘N Ride will take place in City Park on Saturday morning, June 9 beginning at 9:00 am. Activities will be available for beginner to experienced bicycle and walking/running enthusiasts. The fun will include: *Helmets Required
• Learn-to-Ride* (new riders)
• Riding Skills Course* (kids, ages 7 to 10)
• Mountain Bike Trail Ride*
• Helmet Fitting and Sales
• Bike Demos*
• Scavenger Hunt Trail Walk (for prizes)
• Information on Apps to Track Your Steps
• Food Trucks (healthier options)
• BMX Stunt Jump Demonstration
• Music by DJ Tony
• Informational Booths (Bike/Walk KC, Revolve, American Heart Association)
